For a number of years now, investments have continued to be negatively impacted to a large extent by the ongoing low-interest phase. Investors hardly receive interest rates of more than half a percent for traditional forms of investment. As a result, many investors are increasingly on the lookout for significantly better offers.
Investing in B2B receivables is one such offer. As a rule, receivables have short maturities, which means that the invested money is only tied up for a short time as an investment option. In addition, receivables themselves are hardly volatile and show an almost non-existent correlation to classic asset classes.
The business also performs well with receivables in terms of risk assessment. If one compares the default rates for factoring with those for loans, the business with receivables performs significantly better. On average, factoring defaults are less than 0.5 percent. This is a good two percentage points less than in the credit sector.
Nevertheless, significantly higher returns can be achieved than with traditional forms of investment that are customary in the market. With an average receivables term of 42 days in Germany, factoring fees – depending on the creditworthiness of the parties involved – of up to 3% for this period are certainly customary in the market.
A further advantage finally results from the use of the provided liquidity. As an investor, you have the opportunity to support real economic projects, real companies and entrepreneurs and thus contribute to a common ecosystem.
All processes at finbc are fully digital. This is not only convenient, but also fast and available at any time.
All participants who are allowed to offer their claims on the finbc platform have been identified according to banking standards (KYC) and checked for money laundering (AML).
A standardized rating is applied to all receivables, which provides information on the creditworthiness of the parties involved.
In addition, ratings are enriched with internal scores for the payment behaviour of debtors. In this way, the best possible classification of receivables can be achieved that goes beyond the standards customary in the industry.
Upon request, the receivables can be insured against default, such as in the event of insolvency of the debtor.
The integrated receivables management monitors the payment flows of the purchased receivables and supports the collection of the fees and the amount.
Purchasing receivables from finbc is also completely flexible on the investor side, as no framework agreements have to be concluded.
